December 31, 1985

Jr., Ram, Tressy, Roxanne, arrived Dec. 27, 1985 at 7:00 a.m.   Al, Fil, Crystal Leslee come at 5:00 p.m. the same day. Ray, Ramon comes Dec. 29, 1985 at 5:00 p.m.  Then go back to San Diego Dec. 31, 1985 at 8:00 a.m.  Tessie did not come, her mother is sick.  Jr. + children go home after playing golf with all his brothers, Al, Cesar, Mike + Louie.

New Years eve.  Ramon Flores Beth, Larry + Comade (?) comes, 12 o’clock, we had champagne, balloons and shouting Happy News Years.  Norma called from Hawaii, They decide the checks I mailed to Carlos + Norma + Mario + Judy, they were very happy, so here in Concord.  I’m very happy I have given all my children their share + Xmas gift, the money from our house in Livermore, 7 children got $10,000.00 each + I have some left in my Bank of America account.  God Bless us, I’m very very glad all my seven children + their families are fine + healthy I’m too.

May 19, 1991 – Sunday

Wake up at 8:30 a.m. exercise, eat breakfast, take pills, take a nap at 1:00 p.m.  all boys want to play golf at Pitsburg. prepare to cook for dinner, rice, salad fruit salad barbecue ribs, chicken + adobo asparagus + drinks.  The boys play poker + Jr. won $45.00.  Jr. + family left at 7:13 p.m. 7:00 p.m. Lindo + family left, Mike + Sandy Jude + Michelle + Don left 8:30 p.m. go to bed 8:15 after washing all pots + pan + dishes, put in order Sleep at 8:30 p.m.  God bless us!

May 18, 1991

Wake up 6:00 a.m. exercise take a bath, dress up, curl my hair my nail polish, 8:00 a.m. eat breakfast take pills 12:00 a.m. heat all the food left for lunch.  5:00 p.m. all dressed up, go to San Francisco for Crystal banquet for Miss Paniqui Popularity, 7:30 p.m. dinner cost $55.00 a ticket for her candidacy.  I wear pink chiffon dress from Gerry + Tessie Carl0s, my niece from Florida, pearl necklace, + my beloved earrings from Mario 1962.  We left 5:30 p.m. going San Francisco for Cyrstal banquet + dance. come back. All my children are there, except Mario + family + Norma’s family, but they contributed money for Crystal.  lot of people about 500 nice program, Filipino fold dance, crowning three ladies which Crystal won the Miss Paniqui title for 1991-1992.  We eat dinner at 7:30 p.m.  Way back home at 1:00 a.m.  Arrived home at 2:00 a.m. go to bed + sleep. Jr. + family, Crystal, Leslee + mike + Sandy. Al + Fil arrive early in the morning.

Quintin A. Ramil

He entered the hospital May 15, 1980.  My husband died May 29, 1980 at Veterans hospital at 5:00 a.m.  The funeral June 3, 1980 at 10:00 a.m. from Callaghan Mortuary to Memory Garden Cemetary, Navy from Treasure Island gave salute with guns – 25 salute – Methodist made the ritual + the Lodge #46 Masons gave a beautiful ceremonial with Paul Begonia + members.  Lots of people join the funeral, after the funeral.  United Asbury Methodist Church offer a good lunch for all the people who attend the funeral.  Jr. invites them.

December 19, 2002 – Thursday

(Aurings house) (My birthday 92 years old)

Wake up 7:30 a.m. wash face dress up, comb my hair 7:30 a.m. eat breakfast. Tita make pancakes, fried rice, bacon, eggs, guava juice, hot chocolate for breakfast.  I take regular pills, 3 small pellets, 2 tums digest my food, Tita, Gloria, Arlyn gave me a woolen jacket, white teashirt, Tressy gave me 2 bottles Tylenol, 2 pack batteries 2 ricola 4 tictac for my birthday. 11:30 I throw her.  Titing + Auring are home, 11:30 we eat rice, fried daing na banges, ice cream for lunch water, watch TV. Gloria, Judy, Tita arrived from shopping at 5:00 p.m. then they surprize me, we all drive to Orange County (Cyrstal Cathedral) lots of people there, open house, like beautiful Jerusalem, Mother Baby born, program Virgin Baby, Joseph in a manger, songs Xmas, people in customs, parade, horses, donkey elephant, up 6 angels white sing up + dance very very beautiful scene of Bethlehem. Xmas spirit.  Auring buy all the ticket for the show me, Gloria, Judy, Jr., Tessie, Titing, Auring, Tita, Mike, Joe, Paseuas, Auring Comadre.  2 hours show, then drive to Chinese restaurant, eat our dinner Titing + Auring are the host too, they spend much for Birthday celebration + Titing’s birthday too.  Titing + Auring gave me a check for Xmas $100.00 my pocket money.

I can’t forget all this kindness to me.  I never go walk at the Airport, Gloria always asked for my wheel chair, she pushed me all around, back to Auring’s house at 12:00 a.m. go to sleep.  From Oakland airport. left 1:30 p.m. arrived Los Angeles airport 2:30 p.m.  Arlyn pick us, going home early Judy left 12:00 fly from L.A. to Oakland Airport 3:00 p.m. Gloria + Arlyn went to Movie, I stay at Auring’s house. they arrive 5:00 p.m. Auring cook rice, chicken legs + vegetables nilaga for dinner, we all eat dinner at 7:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. Nick drive us to L.A. Airport, flight 9:30 p.m. arrived Oakland Airport 10:30 p.m. wait for 1 1/2 hours, Louie + Jen arrived at the airport 11:00 p.m. drive to Concord, arrive 12:00 p.m. go to sleep.  From San Diego, I receive, a blue jacket, red tea shirt for my birthday, I’ll give 1 jacket to Jen.  I have many jackets.

Guiling Matro died Oct. 9, 1979 Went to San Diego, PSA arrived 1:15 p.m.  Jr. pick us go to Mortuary + to cemetary.  go to Mortuary until 9:00 p.m.  Friday night to Mortuary Saturday stay home, Honey went with Jr. go fishing, Sunday go to church then to Auring’s house, Friday morning went shopping at Sears buy Joycelyn dress for her birthday + pajama for Honey, his birthday gift.

October 28, 1989 – Saturday

Wake up 7:00 a.m. wash my face, fix my bed, send card to Crystal + check for her birthday Send letters to Jr. about sweepstake at San Diego.  exercise drink coffee, take pills ready for Jason’s game, pass by Bank of America to cash my medicare check of $26.96 11:00 a.m. went to Jason’s game, Gloria buy hot dog + drink for lunch.  3:00 p.m. the game finish, Louie’s team win 26-to 6 Jason’s team win 60-0 arrive home 4:00 p.m. we passed by Filipino store, buy ingredients for lumpia + bico. $17.82 + Lucky store for coffee, cocoa oil of Olay candy for Halloween $22.21

July 19, 1994

left San Diego Jr. + me on Van, Rox + Jen in car, when are reach highway 5 Templehon (?) highway van was getting hot, so Jr. stop in side the freeway + called rescue car carry the van.  I ride with Rox + Jr. + Jen ride the car of following the van until we reach 76 gas station + fix the Van.  stay in 2 hours, Jr. sent another van + direct to Concord In the morning Jr. drive Jen + Rox to Sacramento with all Rox stuff.
